Terms of Service

Effective June 10, 2026 · Early-access draft

Early access means these terms are a working draft pending legal review, and the service is evolving quickly. We aim for plain language over legalese wherever the two conflict.

1. The service

CapyHR is a hosted personal command center operated by [CAPYHR LLC / OPERATOR NAME] ("we"). We provision and run a private software instance for you that monitors email accounts you connect, organizes tasks, maintains contacts and calendars, verifies bills against a ledger you provide, and delivers daily summaries. During early access, instances are set up personally by invitation.

2. Your account

3. Connected accounts

You authorize CapyHR to read accounts you connect (mail, contacts, calendars) using credentials you grant. You may revoke that access at any time at the provider or in your dashboard. You're responsible for complying with your providers' terms.

4. Your data

It's yours. You grant us only the permissions needed to operate the service for you (reading, classifying, storing, and displaying your content within your own instance, with subprocessors as described in the Privacy Policy). On request or departure: export first, then full deletion.

5. Intellectual property

The CapyHR software, name, capybara, and designs are ours. Everything you put into your instance — your email, notes, tasks, contacts, ledger — stays yours, full stop.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use CapyHR for anything unlawful, don't attempt to access infrastructure or instances that aren't yours, and don't use it to harass or harm others. We may suspend an instance for clear abuse, with notice and a chance to respond except where the abuse is actively harmful.

7. AI features

Optional AI features (summaries, second-look review) can be wrong. Bill verification is genuinely helpful assistance, not a guarantee — confirm important financial matters against the source. CapyHR is not financial, legal, or tax advice.

8. Fees

Early access is currently [free / by arrangement]. If paid plans are introduced, you'll get clear pricing and notice before anything is charged. Voluntary support contributions are exactly that — voluntary.

9. Availability

We work hard to keep the service running and your mornings informed, but offer no uptime guarantee during early access. Maintenance happens; we keep it short and, where possible, scheduled quietly.

10. Leaving

Leave anytime — tell us and we'll provide your export and delete your instance per the Privacy Policy. We may end the service or your access with [30] days' notice (immediately for serious abuse), with the same export-then-delete promise.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $50 if you've paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, USA. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts of Douglas County, Nebraska.

13. Changes

Material changes to these terms will be announced in your dashboard and by email before they take effect. Continued use after that means acceptance.
